My approach starts with meeting each client, each situation with an open mind and heart and deep listening. This creates a climate of acceptance and clarity, grounded in psychodynamic depth therapy, mindfulness and strength-based approaches.  Each of us is unique and I draw from a variety of evidence-based theories and applications in order to meet the specific needs of each client.

We may start with specific goals or you may wish to begin by exploring your quality of life or where you feel stuck. Depth therapy incorporates both conscious and unconscious emotions. The process of discovery brings the ability to make new choices.

With additional background in art therapy, I welcome clients who may have difficulty with verbal expression and/or may wish to explore other forms of expression such as painting, poetry, journaling or dreamwork.

The first session:  When selecting a therapist, I understand how important it is to find the right fit and to know what to expect. You are invited to join me in a confidential free 20 minute consultation.
